Karolina Koziol is currently a fourth year PhD student in the Department of Anthropology at Princeton University. Karolina received her bachelor’s degree in Area Studies Asia/Africa from the Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany in 2014 and was an exchange student at Peking University’s School of Chinese as a Second Language in 2012/13. Her research focuses on the development of tourism industry in China and Sino-Russian socioeconomic relations in the light of China’s rapid economic development. Currently, Karolina is conducting fieldwork on the Chinese-Russian cooperation in tourism industry.
