Fengming Lu is a Ph.D. Candidate in political science at Duke University. He earned his BA in Political Science from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research interests lie in behavioral traits in elite politics and the role of information in authoritarian politics, with a specific focus in China. The main components of his current research program include a series of studies on the role of risk attitudes in elite selection and research on propaganda in China. He has collected original biographical data of the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee Members in recent decades and conducted unique political elite survey experiments in China. His previous work appeared in journals such as Political Communication.
