China Fertility Rate Research is a long-term research project combining academic leadership and policy orientation. This project explores the population and fertility progress in the fast-changing Chinese social society by collecting data of marriage and fertility progress with national representation and sustainability through scientific survey research methods.

From its starts till now, the project has successfully conducted “Survey on Chinese Private Life Quality” and “Survey on Fertility and Child-raising Intention” and collected valuable data. With the support of this project, many professors and post-doctor research fellow and student of CSR has conducted researches on fertility, marriage and family related topics and participated various academic conferences to have exchanges with scholars at home and abroad. The research papers were published in domestic and international well-known journals including Youth Studies, Population Research, Demographic Research, Chinese Sociological Review etc. The International Conference on Family and Fertility has been organized for two consecutive years, inviting many excellent scholars at home and abroad and making impacts in both in academia and media.
